Work with Tribal Community |
To create an enabling
environment for all round development of the
tribals various activities are taken up by the
organization:
1) Khadi and Village Industries Programme:
Unemployment is the root cause of all ailments
of tribal population, the Sangh undertook the
task of training tribals in Khadi production.
The organization is also working to promote
village industries like manufacturing and
marketing of steel and wooden furniture products
(almirah, stool, benches, beds, etc.), soap and
leather goods such as shoes, chapel and juties,
bags, ladies purse and wallet. The village
artisans have been trained in various trades: |

2) Tribal hostels: The tribals have always been victims of ignorance.
To root out this evil the Sangh is managing 17
tribal hostels for different tribal communities.
These hostels provide all facilities free of
cost e.g. clothes, school fees, books, boarding,
etc |

Destitute Children Homes: The Sangh gives
emphasis over the rehabilitation of orphans,
deserted and run away children. Along with
formal education, training in crafts and
vocational training skills are also imparted.
4) Rehabilitation Programme:
The main objective
of this programme is to carry the facilities and
privileges given to tribals by the government at
their door steps. For this purpose, the Sangh
has an extension machinery to look after the
legitimate rights of tribals and to maintain
liaison with various development agencies and
departments for assisting the tribals. At
present 9 centres are operational in the state.
