Vision and Mission:
To work primarily for the communities such as
tribal and nomadic, semi-nomadic and Vimukta
Jati communities of Rajasthan and weaker
sections of the society by promoting their
social, cultural, educational and economic
development and also to safeguard their
constitutional rights with a view to enable them
to take their legitimate share in the national
life of the country as equal citizens.
Objectives:
1) To undertake educational programmes for
tribal youths, poor and destitute children.
2) To establish hostels, residential schools and
rehabilitation centres, containing free lodging,
boarding and educational
facilities.
3) To undertake massive functional literary
programmes and to devise and execute follow up
plans for neo-literates in tribal
areas.
4) To give training in useful crafts, village
industries and other forest based trades, along
with demonstration in various
vocational trainings according to the need and local
resources.
5) To conduct integrated development programmes
in tribal areas on the pattern of Khadi and
Village Industries
Commission.
6) To conduct rehabilitation services for the
needy tribals, nomads and other weaker sections,
with the aim of modernizing
their social attitudes and inculcate scientific way of
thinking.
7) To conduct studies and research projects on
burning topics concerning the life economy of
weaker sections and
organize seminars, conferences and training camps from time
to time in tribal areas.
